This has been my go to chili recipe for years! When I'm feeling extra lazy I just use a chili seasoning packet!

Ingredients
  • 1 pound Ground turkey or beef
  • Olive oil to brown the meat
  • 1 Medium Onion- diced
  • 2½ tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons ground cumin
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1½ teaspoons salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 (15 oz.) can petite diced tomatoes
  • 1 (16 oz.) can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
Instructions
  1. Add olive oil to pot. Add onions, cook until translucent, about 5 min.
  2. Add ground turkey or beef, cook until brown and cooked through
  3. Add chili powder, cumin, sugar, tomato sauce, garlic powder, salt, pepper
  4. Stir until well combined
  5. Add diced tomatoes
  6. Add can of pinto beans, drained and rinsed
  7. Bring to a low boil. Reduce heat and simmer low for 20 min.
  8. Serve with sour cream, cheese, onions, jalapeños and chips!!! Yummy!
